MuséoSeine is a museum that focuses on the history of the Seine and its estuary. Through an extensive collection of artefacts, it allows visitors to explore the river’s meanders from yesteryear to the present day. Une œuvre un café, is a regular feature of the events programme offering an in-depth look at a particular artefact in a friendly, relaxed atmos- phere. Lasting about an hour, a member of staff, sometimes accompanied by a guest specialist, puts a specific item into context, followed by a question and answer session. Some previous subjects have been: the portrait of Fleury and the history of privateers, the amphora and trade in antiquity, the Lady Suzette and the portrayal of leisure activities on the banks of the Seine.
